Sydney Harbour Tours
As Australia’s most recognised harbour, Sydney Harbour – which is part of Port Jackson – is the world’s largest natural harbour and its shoreline features the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Famed as the location in which the first Europeans settlers decided to reside, the Harbour is just as important now as it was back then.
The 240km expanse of Sydney Harbour has repeatedly been named as one of the most beautiful natural harbours on the planet, and there’s certainly no shortage of ways to see this iconic waterway. From a cruise in a ferry to a jaunt in an historic sailing vessel, the scenic views of the Harbour are certainly best viewed from the wonderful blue water itself. Along the shoreline, you’ll see the aforementioned landmarks, as well as a number of other important and exciting landmarks, such as Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Kirribilli House, the Rocks, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Fort Dennison, Shark Island, Rodd and Goat Island, Cockatoo Island, Luna Park and Taronga Zoo, to name but a few.
Back on land, you can gain spectacular views over Sydney and the Harbour by participating in a Harbour Bridge climb, visit the Opera House or go for a stroll through the Botanic Gardens. Darling Harbour is chock-a-block full of attractions and The Rocks are the place to be if you’re after some fine dining or friendly Sydney hospitality. Visit suburbs along the Harbour, such as McMahons Point, Manly, Mosman and Balmain and delight in the unique features of each. There’s just so much to see and do on and around Sydney Harbour that you’ll want to make sure you’re visiting for more than a day!
